Since 1 July 2026, the business name shown at the top of a text message must be listed on Australia’s SMS Sender ID Register — or it’s marked “Unverified”. As a registered originating telco, Bulk SMS registers your sender ID for you and keeps your messages verified.
Messages from a registered sender ID keep showing your business name.
Anything sent from a name that isn’t on the register is now labelled “Unverified” by the phone carriers and grouped in with suspected scams.
Registering removes the label. As a registered originating telco, we prepare and lodge the ACMA submission for you — including the ABN and authorised-representative steps — and keep you updated until your sender ID is on the register.
Registration is free, and it usually takes between 1 day and 1 week.
The rules apply to any organisation that sends SMS from a name rather than a number — whatever the message says.
Reminders and recall notices sent under your business name.
One-time passwords and login codes your customers need to trust.
Account, system and delivery notifications.
Campaigns and promotions sent from your brand name.

We need the sender ID you want, plus the details of the business you’re registering on behalf of.
We prepare and submit the ACMA registration. It usually takes between 1 day and 1 week.
Once it’s on the register, your messages send under your name.
Ready to register your sender ID? Sign in or create a free account and we’ll lodge it with the ACMA at no charge — or call our Melbourne team on 1300 114 841. Read the official rules on the ACMA SMS Sender ID Register.
